Willow Variation #1 from the series Willow.

These images are inspired by the trees covered in beads along the parade route during Mardi Gras. Expanding on my interest of the aftermath of parties (as explored in the Afterparty series) I covered trees in beads collected from New Orleans and photographed them. They are stripped of their original context as the trees photographed are not in New Orleans, and the images speak solely to the idea of detritus of an unknown celebration.

Image is 16”x 16” printed on 17” x 22” paper.
